Apple will wait until early 2022 to launch the feature that makes it possible for users to add and store official documentation on the smartphone, such as an identity card or a driver’s license.
The company had announced that at the end of this year 2021 it would introduce support to add official documents to iOS 15 and watchOS 8 to the default digital wallet of these operating systems, as it had announced at its last WWDC developer event.
Now, Apple has announced that the arrival of identification documents will not finally occur in iOS 15 until early 2022, as stated on the official website of its mobile operating system.
Apple has explained that initially it will be possible to present official documents in this way when traveling, at security controls, and that in the future they will also be accepted in stores and other locations.
